On August 22, 2024, CAF hosted a Panel Discussion. The topic was trees and how they interact with city pollution. The meeting was held at the Beautiful LCRA Red Bud Center. The panelists that volunteered and made this discussion possible were: Emily King, Urban Forester with City of Austin; Valerie Tamburri, Director of Reforestation and Lead Arborist with TreeFolks; and Roy Johnson, Certified Arborist and Sustainability Coordinator with St. Edward’s University. The discussion was moderated by our own Bill Gibbs. Bill did a great job leading the Q&As. The panelist were very engaging with the audience and the conversation was enlightening and informative. The panel discussion was a success and CAF plans to host more of these discussions for our Partners in the future.
Many thanks to Emily, Valerie, Roy, Bill, and Bob Rose at LCRA and to everyone who attended. Your generous support allows CAF to continue its mission.
