A CAF Partnership Development Manager (PDM) and the Executive Director attended the Austin Sustainability Professionals mixer last week, an event that drew more than 50 attendees from across the region’s environmental and sustainability sectors. CAF was featured as the highlighted nonprofit for the evening, giving CAF excellent visibility with a highly aligned audience.

We set up an information table at the check‑in area, which allowed us to greet participants as they arrived and make early connections. Throughout the event, we had steady engagement from attendees interested in air quality, regional collaboration, and opportunities to get involved with CAF’s work.  The organizers also provided us an opportunity to speak.  We used that opportunity to introduce CAF’s mission, share current initiatives, and highlight ways professionals in the sustainability community can partner with us. The response was very positive, and several attendees approached us afterward to continue the conversation.

By the end of the evening, we had made multiple promising contacts that should lead to partnerships, volunteer engagement, and future outreach opportunities.
